INVESTMENT REQUIREMENTS

The Vanuatuan citizenship programme requires the investor to make an economic contribution to the country as well as meet certain other requirements as prescribed by the Government. Following this, and subject to thorough due diligence, background and application procedure checks, the applicants and their families are granted full citizenship.

Investors who wish to apply for Vanuatuan citizenship by investment must meet all of the following investment requirements:

Non-refundable contribution of:

Single applicant: USD 130 000.

Married couple: USD 150 000.

Married with 1 child (under the age of 18): USD 165 000

Married with 2 children (under the age of 18):

USD 180 000

Additional dependents: USD 25 000 per dependent.

Other application fees and costs apply including an additional USD 5000 Government fee. 

REQUIREMENTS

The requirements for the Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment programme are as follows. Applicants must pass a due diligence test and prove legitimate source of funds and source of wealth.
 

  • The applicant must have a clean criminal record and be over the age of 18 (main applicant);

  • Investors must have a high personal net worth and be in good health.

  • Applicants must be in possession of valid travel documents;

  • Oath of Allegiance: all applicants that are 18 years old or more, must swear an Oath of Allegiance at the consulate.

DUAL CITIZENSHIP

Vanuatu allows dual citizenship. South Africa also allows dual citizenship provided an application is made to the Department of Home Affairs.

FAMILY REGROUPING

Vanuatu is a family friendly country and allows the spouse and dependent children under the age of 25 to be included in the application. Parents over 50 can also be included.
